ABOUT

Come enjoy some great music and let the opera bring out the humanity that dwells within us! pOpera is a unique and unconventional opera co-created by professional artists and a diverse, intergenerational, and international community. The participants played a central role in shaping the story and influenced the original music composed for the piece. Reflecting Luxembourg’s rich cultural melting pot, the opera will feature multiple languages, thus reflecting the many voices that make up our community. The community itself will take the stage as the opera’s choir – and so will you! As an audience member, you will be invited to sing along: when you purchase a ticket, you will receive all the material you need to help you prepare. This enables us to create a truly immersive and participatory experience!
For this presentation, the director and choreographer Luca Veggetti turns the monologue into a staged work for the compelling mezzo soprano, Fredrika Brillembourg and the renowned and riveting dancer Alessandra Ferri. The staging offers a showcase for two impressive artists, especially the vocally plush and dramatically courageous Ms Brillembourg.
